10/10 Excellent

Nice place. convenient to Glacier hiking and Diamond Beach.
Mark, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Good value for the price ( in Iceland anyway)
Matthew, 1-night trip

Paul, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

way too expensive for an old guesthouse
Barbara, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

This property was quite overpriced for what you actually got. The restaurant at the guesthouse was really quite good. But the accommodations were noisy and quite tired.
Christopher, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

Very old and scratched up kitchen utensils, check in desk far away from guesthouse, small bathrooms and rooms, overly expensive.
Jiho, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

We had a large family room for 4 (you could easily fit more young children if co-sleeping). Common kitchen had other travelers making breakfast and chatting. (Keep in mind there's no food available at this location.) No problems waiting for the shared shower. Self-checking with code 24/7.
Alexander, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Big issue is shared bathroom with 4 other rooms potentially 8 people. Read check in thoroughly. Check in 2.5 km in different hotel. I’d suggest this venue is a hostel as compared to the guest house
Glen, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Comfortable room and everything we needed in the kitchen. The area is beautiful!
uriah, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

It was a little challenging to find the place to check in for the cottage since it's not right next to the cottage itself. The cottage was quiet and had a full kitchen to make your own food or access to the restauant where we checked in.
Pam, 1-night trip

Really nice, comfortable and great view!

Very pleased with the cottage!

10/10 Excellent

The staff were extremely helpful, and although our reserved room was not available, they were gracious and accommodating. I highly recommend this property--the rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was warm and friendly.

6/10 Okay

Kitchen had old pots and the linens needs to be updated.
Kashif, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Nice room with a deck, from which we saw the northern lights. Proximity to Jokulsarlon was the biggest factor for us to book there. Nearby guesthouse has restaurant, where we had a nice dinner. Shared bathrooms is the only drawback of this particular property

8/10 Good

No hot showers when multiple people are showering. Great kitchen options. Also flexible staff but a bit difficult to find
Samuel, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Very close to glaciers. Loved separate cabin. Friendly and helpful staff that was willing to wait for our late check in. Oh, and we had 2 private waterfalls coming out of the mountains behind us…how can you beat that?
Susan, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

The people were super nice and check in was easy. The food at the guest house was delicious. The accommodations are a good size and clean. The bathrooms are shared and are very small, water gets everywhere and each person only gets one towel also the shower water temperature is very difficult to adjust. The cost for the room is high given the shared bathrooms, I would not return to the guest house, but I would return to the restaurant.
Maryanne, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Good value but need own transport. One shared toilet was out of order but otherwise it was good.
Jeffrey, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Staff at Hotel Gerdi where you check in were super friendly and helpful. I wish we had stayed there. The cottage was ok for one night but walls are thin, rooms are tiny, and one bathroom door didn’t lock. It was quiet after 10 pm. The kitchen was a full kitchen if you needed to cook and there was also a washer and dryer. There is nothing near the property itself which is good and bad.
Erika, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

You get what you pay for! Basic accommodations albeit clean. SMALL cramped bathroom/shower. Nice kitchen but limited dishware.
Tony, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

I called reception before we arrived and she suggested us to go to another hotel and just tell me the code of picking up the room key in my hotel… which I think should be avoided. Suggested to text the code by message instead of asking others to go there in person. Otherwise, a great place to stay for a night.
