The hotel is lovely, in a traditional courtyard-style house. It is beside the north gate, just inside the ancient town, so the location is great. Alice was fantastic, collected us from the train station and gave us lots of tips on places to visit and eat. We had a great two-night stay, highly recommended!

This is a small hotel with a correspondingly small staff. They we always helpful. We appreciated that they collected us from the station and took us back at the end of our stay. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful. It is siutated just inside the city wall and verything is walkable.

Lรคget gรถr att det รคr lugnt men รคndรฅ nรคra till sevรคrdheterna i staden. Bรคst av allt รคr dock den fantastiska personalen som var oรคndligt hjรคlpsam och hjรคlpte oss att ordna vรฅra utflykter till Mian Shan och Qian Family Compound till bra pris. De hjรคlpte oss ocksรฅ med nรฅgra problem som uppstod vid resan. Frukosten serveras vid bordet, den fรถrsta dagen fick vi en variant av english breakfast men till de andra dagarna bad vi om den kinesiska varianten som vi tyckte bรคttre om och som bestod av lokala rรคtter, god och vรคl tilltagen. Ett helt fantastiskt stรคlle - รฅker man till Pingyao sรฅ ska man bo hรคr!

Located at the north gate, a quieter part of the old town. But pingyao old town is not too big, so walkable to the other parts as well. A supermarket is located a short walk away outside the city wall. Free transport to/fro train station was provided, which was a lovely touch. Very cosy room with the necessities.
