The staff at this beautiful hotel were very welcoming and helpful and even surprised me with complimentary cake and port on my birthday. Lovely hotel in the Chiado neighborhood. The hotel is an old palace so the rooms are the perfect mixture of historic charm with modern amenities. The hotel staff was super helpful and welcoming, they even booked our restaurant reservations each night! You also can’t beat the breakfast and the VIEW!

We loved the property itself. The breakfasts were amazing, the staff and the rooms were lovely. Everything we wanted was close. The only complaint was the noise level. The building is historic which is a double edged sword. The plumbing is noisy. The windows are not double pane so when the garbage / recycling trucks go by in the middle of the night, it is very loud. The same goes for when the restaurants close and patrons leave and have loud conversations. If you have good ear plugs or are a sound sleeper, this location is prefect.

I highly recommend it if you want to stay in downtown Lisbon. It is a very nice location and walkable everywhere - subway, sightseeing, and all nice restaurants. The staff is super nice and makes us feel welcome. We would recommend it.
