Service was great, staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. This is not a five star hotel so you get what you pay for, we just needed a place to sleep and were quite happy, nothing to complain about. It's located right near Omonia Square where you will find shopping and restaurants. Just a few minutes walk to the Central Market. The walk to Syntagma square is only about 15 mins but it will take much longer because of all the shops you'll find along the way. Will definitely stay here again when I return.

3 night trip to Athens , booked it because it was close to Subway. The neighbourhood is not to most glamorous in the city but it’s doable. Room was clean and the hotel was good none the less.

The hotel is just a minute walk from Omonia metro station and it’s on a main road - you don’t have to go into any sketchy alleyways. I was alone and felt totally safe walking to/from the hotel. The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless.

You got what you pay for.. A cheap hotel and if you only need a place with a bed and bathroom (that was clean!) for one night, this is good enough.. But don’t expect this to be a luxury place..

Ares Athens Hotel provided a mostly comfortable stay for my friend and I this weekend. The beds were a little hard, but from the amount we walked everyday, we fell right asleep every night. The rooms were mostly clean except for finding hairs on the sheets and on the blankets. The location, although a little sketchy at night, was a very short walk to all of the tourist attractions and very good food. The cleaning service was great and the staff was very friendly. Definitely would recommend if you’re on a budget.

We stayed in AresAthens in March2024 and again in March2025. The location is very good - 2-minutes walk to Omonia Square with very good Metro connection, 12-min walk to Monastiraki, 20-min walk to Syntagma. Plenty of restaurants near Omonia, in Plaka and Psyri within easy reach. The hotel offers what you need: room with AC, WiFi, bathroom, daily cleaning and change of bedsheets and towels. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Maintenance like fixtures in bathroom, lights in corridor could be improved. If we make it to Athens again in 2026 - AresAthens will be our first choice.

Conveniently located in the Center of the City, making it very accessible to catch all the Transportation options in Athens! The Staff was extremely kind and helpful!
