"Good hotel. But my private room has no hair dryer. The front desk lady was nice and escorted me to someone’s room which has hair dryer and let me use it."

"Extremely cheap (about 15 usd a night) and therefore what you can expect shouldn’t be much. Although the very pleasant location of the hostel should allow for quietness and calm, it’s a rather noisy “house” with people coming and going, kids running around and screaming (not guests) so don’t expect to sleep much in the mornings. Breakfast is below average but again, it’s extremely cheap. Other than that, ok bed, cable tv, and ok warmish shower. "

"It was a good experience overall, the room was amazing and clean and of course comfortable. The only inconvenience was that our room didn't had hot water at first, but they resolved it right away."

"The staff was super nice and kind, this is the biggest advantage of the hotel. I made a mistake with booking, but they helped me to fix it.
The second one is the location.
The condition of the hotel could be better, especially the shower was so so.
Kids first day run in the room without the shoes and their feet and socks were dirty, probably the room was not occupied longer time.
The breakfast was very simple, but OK. "

"It's on a cute passageway about two (uphill) blocks from the main square, so easy to walk around. I had a little kitchen with basically everything you needed except a towel and something to wash dishes. The bathroom was on the patio, so you had to leave the room onto the patio outside everytime you wanted to use the bathroom (very odd). Staff were friendly and gave me a space heater b/c it was very chilly at night."

"I can't fault this hotel. I arrived at 5am after a 14 hour bus journey and even though my check in wasn't until 12 they found me a room and I was asleep by 6. All at no extra cost
I've never felt so welcome.
Lovely staff, clean and quiet hotel and really convenient for the centre of town.
Zero complaints."

"The hotel had a bed and was safe and within walking distance to the historic center. The staff were helpful and able to answer questions. Showers were cold, though, and the room would get very cold at night, as well. Overall you get what you pay for here."

"All the staff have been extremely welcoming and kind. The level of hospitality they try and provide here is actually top-notch for this area. Our hotel room is very clean and very presentable with a wonderful large Jacuzzi in the suite. It’s very walkable and close to the main Central Square, which is convenient. The area nearby there’s really not much to do but just about a five or 10 minute walk and then you’re in the middle of everything. The breakfast is not so bad even though there’s not a...

"This hotel was excellent. Breakfast was good. My issue was the room we had was on the 2nd floor with an internal window. Directly outside was a bright light that left light streaming through the window all night. I told the front desk and they were completely dismissive. We ended up hanging our towels over the drapery rod to cut off the light. "

Arequipa's Historical Center neighborhood is known for its temples and mountain views, and entices visitors with attractions including Museum of Andean Sanctuaries and Arequipa Plaza de Armas.
If you're planning a bit of sightseeing head to Arequipa Plaza de Armas— just one of the monuments in Historical Center. You could also start your cultural experience by heading over to the cathedral in the area.
Walk around the campus at National University of St Augustin of Arequipa as part of your travels around Arequipa. While you're in the area, find time to visit its shops.
Admire the gleaming white volcanic stone of colonial buildings in the historic Plaza de Armas. Venture to nearby Colca Canyon to spot majestic Andean condors soaring above one of the world's deepest gorges.
Arequipa is a great city to visit. The Plaza de Armes is one of the nicest plazas in Peru. It is a scenic city near fantastic geological sights that can be visited on day trips.

Arequipa has been, is and always will be beautiful. Like in other cities in Peru, a major problem is traffic chaos, mainly due to poor planning and policy decisions.

"Wow…..what a great place to stay! Everything they do is top notch! Their customer service is excellent, the rooms are cozy and have everything you need, the breakfast is EXCELLENT and the breakfast staff is so accommodating, the housekeeping does a great job! The location is PERFECT! Close to everything! I really can’t say enough positive about this boutique!!! Definitely would stay here again & again!!!"
"I stayed at this hotel for two nights and really enjoyed my stay. The property is a former mansion that once belonged to a Peruvian president who served from 1899 to 1903. He purchased it during that time and lived here after his term ended. Staying here feels like being part of history, and the rooms are beautifully designed with high ceilings. If you enjoy historical buildings like I do, you will definitely appreciate it. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was spotless, and the location was convenient. I’m glad I chose this place instead of a traditional hotel."
"This hotel was beautiful and so unique. They handed us a huge, antique-looking key which opened an old wood door into a beautiful stone room that felt like we were in a cave or a castle. We were greeted by a sweet note for our honeymoon. The breakfast was delicious and made to order, and you eat on the terrace overlooking the city. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night and that was delicious too. The hotel is located just a short walk from the Plaza de Armas, with lots of food and market options nearby. Our only complaint was the noise level. We could hear a lot both from within the hotel and outside in the city. All in all though we loved this hotel and had a great experience there!"

"This place was clean and had comfy beds. The location was great, the rooftop bar was lovely. The staff organised all of our trips and gave us water and snacks to bring with us every morning.
I definitely recommend it!"
"I really appreciated the lady for the early check-in, especially being so tired. They also gave me city directions and prepared a to-go breakfast for my early departure. Thank you so much!"
"La Hosteria hotel was a former french mansion. Beautiful touches of French decor are everywhere. The location was a very short walk to the square. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. We, unfortunately, where in a room next to the restaurant so there was noise early in morning as they prepared for breakfast. The room was cold at night, but we had warm comforters. They were able to store our luggage for a fee. "
"The location was great, only 2 blocks from the main plaza, historic monostary and close to several great restaurants. It had a nice terrace to sit and relax in the evening. We had a very early tour and they gave us a sack breakfast and stored our bags for a day between stays. The only negative would be the Wifi."
"I wanted to stay in Casa Andina but they didn't have a room for five so we booked one spacious room at this hotel the very last minute for 2 adults 3 kids. It was great. The hotel is close to the main Plaza and you can walk to stores, pharmacies, restaurants, places to book your tours. It has stairs and the front seat is in the second floor, our room was on the third floor.
You won't be able to pay for your stay on hotels dot com but in person when you get to the hotel. And if you "
"The pool area with a treehouse and a suspended bed. The staff was great, we arrived early and they placed us in their Cinema & Library until the receptionist arrived. Staff was helpful with any questions and assistance we needed."
"Me encantó la estadía en el hotel, no solamente lo limpio y lo como de las habitaciones, pero Reynaldo fue muy amable me ayudó a comprar mi pasaje de regreso a Lima y me explicó la historia de cómo reconstruyó la casa de su abuelita y como la convirtió a un hotel siendo la casa de su abuelita Irma y por eso se llama así.
I love the stay in the hotel not only for the clean and the comfy of the room but Reynaldo the manager was very kind and help me to get my bus ticket to Lima he was so kind and helpful and also told me the story of how he rebuild of his grandma house that now is Casa Irma Hotel since was his grandma house destroy on a previous earthquake, hands down was a great experience and no doubt to recommended and stay again. Great area, great hotel and great people! Thank you"
"The location is simply best to explore Arequipa downtown. It is safe. Unfortunately the whole downtown area is not exempt from loud music in nearby discotheques on Friday and Saturday night - even up until almost 4 am. We would have liked earplugs."
