Like a surreal episode of Fawlty Towers. On principle we did not pay extra to see some cascading streams. This meant there were multiple glass doors in the building we were forbidden from opening. The one outside area we could access, aside from the ok pool, was adjacent to a room with alcohol lined shelves that one could be forgiven for assuming was a bar. The man behind the counter was happy to see us off empty handed after we tried to order off the cocktail menu. Not possible. Also, no Sangria. He told us to go to the restaurant when it opened three hours hence. The restaurant hostess actually rolled her eyes at my explanation that we HAD a reservation, in Spanish. The lamb shoulder was quite good. The bed was as uncomfortable as the interior is lovely. A unique place, poorly managed, indifferent to guest experience. BYOB!
