"A beautiful shiny new hotel with well thought through design and such aesthetic decor. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The roof top bar was a definite plus, with fab views, it just made the weekend for me and my friend who had a long overdue catch up. So close to the station, an easy weekend away."

"Whilst a little out of town this is a great place for a north/south stopover. Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts in a while, compared to many a higher end hotel chain. Tasty, hot (most important) and good quality."

"Large clean room with crisp sheets on the bed. Both the bed and the pillows were too firm, resulting in limited sleep I was convinced that continental breakfast was included when I booked the room. However the Expedia booking did not state that ,nor did the information sent to the Porters Lodge. The charge was though only £5 pp."
"Hotel is in a great location - just over 15 minute walk to the train station, close to shops and the Cathedral - looks like the downstairs has been elegantly renovated. Beautiful newly-refurbished bedroom, with some really thoughtful extra touches - such as a rubber bathmat and handrail, electric fan, suitcase stand, and biscuits every day with the tea and coffee. I liked being able to open the window. Some of the staff seemed less friendly and professional than one would expect - however, generally the staff were o.k. and two of the younger reception staff (a young man and young woman), both with dark hair, were both pleasant and helpful. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, as there were plenty of cafes and Bill's Kitchen (in All Saints Church) in the same street and close by."
