"First class stay for one night b&b. Also ate in the bar for evening meal which was very good"

"The room was spotless but a bit dated. Bed was very comfortable. However, ran out of eggs and bacon at breakfast and sausage was undercooked"

"No where to hang clothes in the bathroom, so clothes got wet when putting them on the toilet seat, shower had black mould in sealant and no shelf in the shower itself. Tv remote was dirty. Bed matteress nearest the door was very noisy sounds like the springs are gone. Parking is a nightmare but free, most coast places are hard to park near the hotel. Good location for Pavillion and Harbour and cafes."

"Furniture and fittings very antiquated. Bedding very old and worn, bed linen did not look clean and fresh. Bathroom shower looks as if mould growing around base, not hot water to the basin, towels very worn and ruff. Breakfast very poor, left on landing to help yourself, cereal and fruit only not worth the payment charged. Parking not easy and very limited particularly for the larger car. Expedia stated only one room left that clearly was not the situation. Definitely not value for money."

"Good location and just outside Whitby town with easily accessible bus stops. Free car parking for guest. Food typical chain and overpriced and under taste. Room decent size but no lounging chairs. Tv not smart and too small. No fridge. Bed very uncomfortable. Shower over bath and shower curtain. Not for me."

"The bedroom was immaculate and the breakfast was great, faultless. The area that could be improved is in the spa, and more specifically the restaurant attached. There is a clear issue with staffing, not enough and very new ones not being prepared. During my spa 'experience' I was sent into the restaurant to then be ignored for a good 30 minutes. The one girl in there was apparently not aware me and others were waiting to order food. When it came, the £20 udon noodle 'main' was literally just noodles with a few bits of red chilli and about 1 runner bean. No protein at all. You get £25 to use on the offer, tricky to cover a decent meal and a drink with this. Spa loungers were reserved for you with a little name tag, but had soaked coverings from previous guests. Already looking tired. No staff poolside if you want to order a hot drink etc (there used to be when it first re opened). I felt sorry for the girl in the restaurant, she said it was her first day. She didn't seem to have a clue. Bad service and a lack of it let's the spa down. Crazy when so much has been invested initially in refurb"

"It was not what was on the website when we arrived there was no one to meet us to say which cottage we were staying in I tried calling but no one replied I phone a number that was on a van parked in the carpark who then got in touch the with the gentleman who runs the cottage’s we should of entered at 3:00pm but didn’t get in till 5:00pm I was told I had been sent a message with the code at 09:00 which I never received"

"Great breakfast, very helpful staff, comfortable rooms, lots of hat water."

"Very clean, easy to deal with and comfortable Also got a 2 day parking permit which was great thanks"
