"A good inexpensive place with great access to I-35 and easy connection to I-694. Not far from White Bear Lake. The room was good and bathroom met expectations. The breakfast bar did not include Gluten Free options, such as eggs and bacon. Staff was responsive to inquiries. Met expectations and needs."

"We booked based on reviews and realized THAT was a mistake. First & foremost-the staff was very nice, as all Minnesotans are. That was the good; now the realistic.The property is OLD and rundown. The carpeting is worn and dirty and I don't really want to think about the dirt in there ( bring slippers or socks to wear and burn them directly after the visit). The bathrooms are tiny and, again, outdated. Two people cannot be in that area together. There are adequate plug ins, and the windows will open for fresh air. Now, for the most important items of a good hotel room: the bed & pillows. THEY ARE BOTH AWFUL. I believe the beds have not been changed out since the opening of this property back in the 1900's. They are just awful. Like wood frames with a cloth over them awful. Like "blankets on the floor would be better" awful. (But don't lie on that filthy carpet). And the pillows...need I say more? We love Minnesota, we love the people, we had a lovely time. But the hotel was a train wreck, so choose wisely is my advise."

"This is a lovely property in the heart of Stillwater. The reason we will not return is that the street noise from “hot rodding” motorcycles , trucks and cars cruising the main drag starts in early evening and continues into early morning hours. (We know this after 5 years of annual stays ). The noise is worst in the highest priced rooms that face the street. Dining on the patio in front of the hotel requires one to shout to be heard by others at your table😳. Not worth it."

"Staff were AMAZING! Very knowledgeable, I felt like we were royalty when my friend and I checked in….i loved the open air bar, it was a beautiful night and we really enjoyed the evening. Hot tub was , yes, a relaxing time! The only complaint 😬 was, the bed felt it was old and could feel some springs…otherwise lovely hotel."
