Convenient location, good value.

Check in was easy. We also stored luggage there for the day after check out. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but that’s to be expected in Tokyo. It’s about a 15 mins walk to main Shinjuku station but it’s next to Higashi-Shinjuku station.

Stayed here middle of March. Great hotel for the price. Double room is NOT micro which is often the case in Tokyo unless you are willing to pay over $200 USD. I will try to stay here again in the future.

Great location in Shinjuku next to train stop and about a 20-Minute walk to center or the Shinjuku Gyoen gardens. Lovely and helpful staff. Our room was really small for us and our bags (it’s common in Japan) as I accidentally booked one that was 151 sq ft. Next time I would try and book a bigger room for more comfort.

Great single room for a solo traveler. Room was efficient and every space was well used without compromising comfort. Fantastic location. Helpful staff, excellent communication prior to my arrival in providing instructions on how to get to the hotel from Narita. Hotel breakfast at 1900 yen was a 7/10 in my opinion, but worth the convenience.

Do I Regret this Booking?

Great stay at Sotetsu Fresa at Higashi-Shinjuku! Close to convenience stores and a train station which gives good access to the broader Tokyo subway system. Staff knew English well enough to communicate to, and the Hotel has laundromat services within the building. We stayed in the small double bed (cheapest room) option. For a solo traveller, this is more than ideal. For a couple who could compromise on spacial luxury to save on their trip, this is perfect. Would definitely stay here again & I do not regret booking with this establishment!
