Beautiful view, right on the boardwalk. Parking is most likely going to be two blocks away. Staff very nice. Any problems or issues with room, they are right on it. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Was perfect for watching the fireworks from the balcony.

Among the hundred or so places in Virginia Beach, Surfbreak is an entirely serviceable place to stay. Its oceanfront location is ideal, the rooms are comfortable but campy, and while on-site parking is a challenge, there is a large and safe lot to park in that's just a 3-minute walk away. Right next door is a 4 Points that's $450 a night. Surfbreak is a clear value and worth a night or two.

The pool was okay, however you could not smell the chlorine. The room we had was okay, not without its hiccups, had damage to the seats , stains on the floor , the plumbing was terrible , you had to hold down the toilet to make it flush .the bar downstairs smelled unclean .

We paid for a mini sweet with a balcony, with full view of the ocean. What we got was a beautiful view of the hotel’s air conditions that were even with our balcony. When we complained a wanted our room changed since we were going to be there all week they made excuses to why the wouldn’t move us! We were very disappointed to say the least

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Staff was friendly and quick with checking in and out. Access points immediately to beach and pool, the restaurant attached, and elevators. Room was exactly as pictured, and the view was the best part! We did eat at the Calypso and they had the perfect food for on the beach with a view! All the beachy gift shops were right across the street with plenty of good food options around. We barely left the area there was so much just around our hotel. They had already mentioned that parking was limited so it was expected to park a little bit away. They had loading areas that made that a non issue. After reading some of the reviews i was a little nervous but there were zero worries as soon as we stepped foot inside. We will return very soon!

Hotel was wonderful. Older building but very clean, comfortable beds and great staff! All rooms are ocean view with balconies. Pool was small but definitely nice. Parking is a block away but very easy walk. You can drop your bags at the front then park. There is an attached restaurant/bar. Coffee station even had flavored creamers. Would definitely recommend.

Location and view was EXCELLENT! Room was very clean and comfortable bedding. Down fall was there is no parking onsite (had to park a block away), no hot breakfast(just fruits, oatmeal, and granola bars), and lastly, it’s supposed to be a smoke free environment and every morning/evening someone was smoking pot on their balcony (smell is horrible).
