We had an executive king room on the fourth floor which had a nice bathroom and a small closet and a desk. We liked the bedside tables with USB ports and outlets. Everything was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the history and quirkiness of the building and decor. We were here during a very hot spell and our room was not hot but still stayed warmer than we would have liked for sleeping.

The Celeste is a beautiful hotel within walking distance of museums and the state capital which is why I chose this location. It's a historic building with hardwood floors. The architecture is beautiful. It's also near a train and a fire station so I did hear the sirens as trucks left the station for emergencies. At times I could also hear the trains. The breakfast is delicious and definitely an appreciated perk. I only went out for breakfast my first day in town. Every other day I chose to eat in the hotel. I would stay here again.

The location was great, kinda mid lux industrial. The lake was whipped by stiff, cold wind which was pretty great to witness from the outdoor hottub. It was really nice inside and still kid friendly. Pricey though.
We were pleasantly surprised at the restaurant...good food, not hotel decent, but really tasty.

We really enjoyed our two night stay! Staff were friendly and courteous - lack of private parking can be a concern but ample street. Beautiful views and amazing historic building.
