Excellent service at check in and check out. The doormen were helpful upon arrival and departure with bag storage and also for hailing cab when I was leaving heavy loaded with bags. I would recommend to have option for better lighting in rooms, as in have at least the desk lamp to be more powerful for those of use that need to get some work done.

Could be excellent with some renovations

The Empire is in a convenient location with excellent amenities compared to other hotels in the immediate area. I was just disappointed that the black out shade was broken and couldn’t be pulled open during the day to get light, and the thermostat wasn’t working so the fan just kept whirring all night. We had a broken AC in our room when I stayed there a year ago as well.
