Fun, funky hotel but $35 a night for parking?

A good spot with some fun details. Great location. Front desk was nice and helpful. Room was a bit small but comfortable. $35 for parking is obnoxious. The restaurant also charged 22% “gratuity” (hint, that’s not a gratuity) with the resulting mediocre service.

Overall it was a nice stay. Clean and well taken care of. Housekeeping was credibly helpful and friendly. Check-in with one reception was not the greatest. They didn’t seem happy to be there and they weren’t too friendly. Rest have been good and helpful.

Nice & Affordable Cabin in East Austin

The location was convenient, however, street parking is a challenge and garage parking is expensive ($31/24hrs). I inadvertently booked a "cabin" which does not have a private restroom-once I got over the shock I adapted and the private bathroom was next door, so the treck was not far. The experience reminded me of European hotels years ago. Regardless, the single toilet/shower rooms were very spacious & clean. Just make sure to remember your room key. The best part of the "cabin" was the price-very affordable given the location and it being Austin.

Great place to stay in Austin

Stayed here for a few days, great location, located in the centre of the cool part of Austin. Seemed to be a good spot for attendees of SXSW. The hotel was great, and I will give them kudos as they did not massively inflate prices even though SX was taking place. The staff were really nice, room large and comfortable, there's a cafe/bar connected which is convenient. Nice pool area. One thing I will say (nothing to do with the hotel itself). The area is quite noisy, some people can start to play drums outside late at night and the rooms are not soundproofed. I would stay here again, nice people, clean, cool area, close to food and coffee places.

I had no idea that there was not a private bathroom as is normal , it was European style , or like in hostiles…so you have to leave your room to go to the restroom or to shower. I absolutely hated it. For the prices especially it’s dumb.

Not the best hotel choice

This hotel was just ok. Make sure you understand that you have to share bathrooms with everyone on the floor. The bathrooms were not that clean. I think if they are going to have shared restrooms, they need to be much better about keeping them clean and rethinking the wet floor situation. The rooms were nice but I don't think it was worth the price I paid for the room.

Good location, Mid experience

Overall the location is the best part of this hotel, it’s pretty central if you wanna visit other areas in Austin. The downtown bars are walking distance and there’s lots of places to eat around the hotel. But the major downside was the hotels cleanliness, room was mildly clean. I would not recommend starting in their cabins with the shared restrooms! They only serviced them like once a day so with multiple people showering and using the restrooms it was kinda gross. Also the hotel bar would play music as early as 9am so don’t expect to sleep in.

No clear description of room had shared shower and toilet situation for the floor. Conditions of facilities were poor and dirty. Water on floor creating huge fall risk after your shower. Otherwise hotel was so cute. Not sure if they offer rooms with facilities in the private rooms?
