Shopping in Phi Phi is often centered around basic vacation necessities, such as beachwear, souvenirs and food items. It’s no surprise to see a hotch-potch of items in a single store – boutiques often double as impromptu minimarts, while minimarts sell clothes. At the same time, bookstores masquerade as cafes, while cafes transition into late-night bars in the evenings.

It can be rather confusing for those accustomed to organized city life, but it’s all part of the fun on Koh Phi Phi. You can even find merchants of leather goods and, if you feel the need, a couple of tattoo parlors too.
