Lake Tekapo is bit cheesy town. I'm not sure what the hype is about, but we loved Lake Pukiki and Lake Ohau more as it's less commercial and quiet.

The view of this town is very dependent on the weather!!! There are many shops and restaurants but very expensive!!!
"Stayed in shared room w 4 persons ensuite.
Bed was comfortable.
Room and bathroom with heater facilities.
As usual and similar to other shared rooms , hanging hooks is limited to one per bed thus used to it.
Same complaint on the water detergent but since I purchased one myself, thus is not an issue anymore.
Water pressure is good and glad was given a room w accessible thus room is bigger than normal 4 bedder room."
