"The two biggest surprises were Viktor, their 3 day a week hiking guide, and how knowledgeable and helpful the staff were in planning our hikes and how to get there. Also, the complimentary bus pass to the awesome local bus service that can get you to and from hikes. Otherwise, it’s just a lovely hotel. "

We also enjoyed the wellness center - sauna and steam room were highlights! Waldrast offered a clean, comfortable, and relaxing vacation and we would recommend it to couples and small groups if they prefer a quiet and peaceful ambiance in the mountains. "

There is also no elevator so we had to walk up and down to our top floor room. Spa looks better in pictures. The staff also wasn’t very friendly, and one person in particular was downright rude.
