"The crazy bear was great. We stayed in a cosy room which has a lovely bath and was huge. Proce was very reasonable as we stayed during the week in January. The food is a bit expensive but you don't have to eat there. "

""When you visit some hotels, you may feel like a number and not a person. This was my first visit, and I had no expectations. I was pleasantly surprised; first off, the smell of the place is just amazing! The location and grounds were stunning. More importantly, I was treated like part of the family—the staff was amazing and welcoming. If you're a single person traveling, it can feel quite daunting, but you actually felt like you were part of the family and so well looked after. The

"This is the most idyllic, stunning, charming, and romantic hotel in which I have ever stayed. The only thing I wish is to have stayed here longer. It felt like I was living in a fairy tale. I can genuinely say this place is so much better than staying at some regular, modern luxury hotel. Can’t wait to return some day with my partner! Wonderful food, and warm, friendly, welcoming staff. "We celebrated a 60th Birthday with a Lady's weekend in the Sundial Cottage - we were able to spend the whole weekend together without having to separate until we were ready to retire - we all had our own rooms ensuite. The common areas were comfortable and the private garden was lovely. The massages were wonderful. I look forward to returning. Thank you!"

is second to none with friendly, helpful staff. We had the most fabulous back massage and the lady made us feel very comfortable.

"This was a little get away without being too far from London. This was such a gem, beautiful location, had a pool, sauna steam room and experience shower to use. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Need plates and cutlery for our take away and restaurant was most accommodating. Had a wedding with loud music a floor below us but couldn’t hear a thing once in our room. Would stay again!! "

"An extremely clean and tidy hotel, staff were excellent and spa
facilities extremely good. The one down side was the fact that we asked the staff at the front desk to order a taxi for us from the hotel to Flackwell Heath golf club. The taxi charged us a “fixed fee” of £25 for a five mile taxi ride. I suggest that The Crowne Plaza refrain from using Charlie’s executive cars from now on! This was a £10 journey at most."

"A unique experience. A magnificent Tudor mansion with glorious gardens cared for by a bevy of gardeners and very attentive service from the hotel staff. This is a very special hotel - not the Marriott or Hilton, if that is what you are looking for but so much more. The building obviously is very old and encompasses its own problems but also its many charms. The room had a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The windows open and you can enjoy the country air, although there is a heater and...

"This hotel is in a great need of a maintenance and TLC. There is a lot of areas showing wear and tear. Our room was ok, few things were broken, tv and sockets wasn't working as the fuse was blown, bathroom looking tired, breakfast was good, as it was the service. Staff very polite and helpful. Good and warm swimming pool. Surrounding areas of the hotel are not maintained at all, grass overgrown, weeds around, dead flowers in the pots, etc. This hotel can be vastly improved in all areas.... "Brilliant stay and the restaurant was incredible. Amazing service and the copper bath was a lovely luxury. Only thing is there was no milk for a cup of tea but I’m sure they would’ve got me some if I’d asked."
