"I went cheap since I only stayed in Bastia for a night…too cheap. The “room” is a closet with a bathroom. There is barely space to put the luggage down and open it. The shower was so small that I couldn’t spread my elbows while washing my hair. AND the room is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. There are not many noticeable restaurants close to the hotel, so guests need to rely more on the hotel restaurant, which serve passable food. I will definitely invest a bit more for a better hotel next...

"The desk clerks at the hotel were excellent particularly Alex who did whatever she could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We also enjoyed the food and the service in the dining room. We were very disappointed to find that there was no fridge in the room--the only hotel of the 11 on our trip. We could store things in their fridge but that is not the same. "I have been in many places in Corsica but this was really the highlight of my trip. Very small lovely hotel with 5 rooms only in a very small village (10 people) on top of the mountains around 25 minutes from Corte. I arrived last minute (not planned) and the welcome by the landlord and his wife was top notch. I would say: you have not been to the real profound Corsica if you have not had this experience at Casa du Lucia. But this is my opinion of course ! It really depends what you are looking...

"The room was not huge, but clean with a comfortable bed. Reception was polite and very easy.. The hotel looks kind of isolated when you arrive, but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within 200 to 600 meters in pretty much any direction. The hotel is very nice and Bastia was a really fun place."

"Simply fantastic - very clean, very comfortable. The food at the hotel restaurant (breakfast and dinner) were delicious and affordable. The staff is very polite and attentive. Parking at the garage was great. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Bastia, especially if your ferry arrives late or leaving early - it's just 5 mins drive from the port. There is also a supermarket just 8 mins walking away and some shops like pharmacy and patisserie. Will stay again!"
