The host was very welcoming and kind. Perfect explanations of the city tour.
Please note that the cleaning in the bathroom was not perfect but the room was clean.

"We had an incredible stay here. The staff were so helpful and very responsive. Damiano is an asset to the hotel.
We stayed in the room with a terrace , the terrace is large and had the most wonderful view.
We made use of the private

The hotel is a short walk ( down quite a few steps) from the main part of the old town. Quiet at night but close to all the sites.

Really friendly staff, the breakfast was good for being Italian breakfast and my room was clean and had an lovely bed.
If i ever go back to Matera I'll chose Il Carrboro again. "

"I have been traveling for 5 months and this hotel was by far my favorite! I was blown away by the attention to detail, the powerful ritual and symposium and the incredible heated pool surrounded by replicas of goddesses. The couples’ massage was wonderful and the staff and experience couldn’t have been better. Mindblowingly great! We loved it! "

"The room was well appointed, spotless clean and in a terrific location, but the building where the property is was very difficult to find. It would be useful to know that piazza Mulino was a very tiny pedestrians-only piazza at the intersection of two roads and that we needed to climb some steps to get to it. Anna and Namira were very helpful and provided great recommendations. Now that we know how to find the place, we will certainly go back when we visit Matera again."

They also offer laundry service, which is great to have!! Parking is super easy which lends to exploring nearby areas like Pomarico, Matera and Bernalda. The air conditioner in the room worked incredibly well...

"The hygienic conditions were horrible, the toilets near the bars and restaurants were very dirty, a bad smell came out of the toilet in the room. The restaurant with buffet was dirty in the area of fries, with food thrown on the counter.
Food in general was not good, but the cakes and pastries were excellent."
