I immediately returned to the front desk and made them aware of the issue. i asked for another room, they did not have one for the same price, but...

I would've opted for a room that has the bathroom on the same level (it's a hassle to use it at night). There are cats and one slept on my extra bed, which I thought was cute, but just fyi for those with cat allergies. The room is not airconditioned but there were adequate fans. The area (Paredon) has a lot of bugs, definitely bring some bug spray. Friendly...
