"Lovely room, spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed
Nice size bathroom with complimentary soaps, shampoos etc
All rooms on first floor so could be an issue if you have mobility problems
Royal hotel bar/ restaurant quite busy so would recommend booking if you want to dine in. Food quality was excellent and a great service given.
Decent size car park across the road, always found a space to park even when it was busy in the bar
I would have no hesitation staying here again if I am in the...

"Excellent and clean hotel and very central for all the towns amenities.
Our group has stayed there several times previously and would always stay at The Auckland if we were staying in Morecambe
My only quible would be the thick winter duvet on the bed, which was not suitable when we were there in the present summer heatwave"

"Food was very good, reasonably priced and generous servings. The hotel is in need of decoration and repairs. We stayed one night and it was OK for our needs. Seemed very short staffed and room not ready on arrival."

"Had a lovely stay, self check in was simple - detailed instructions were sent the day before. The apartment was immaculate. Furnished nicely with a well equipped kitchen. Fabulous location right in the centre yet out of the way enough to not be loud. Would recommend. "

"Beautiful location, views are stunning on the outside terrace, rooms are lovely whilst small has all you need although would suggest a mirror on the dressing table. Breakfast was lovely, drinks very reasonably priced with a good selection and lovely welcoming staff. "
"Lovely hotel. Great room. Clean and comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Coffee and biscuits in the room was a lovely touch. Perfectly located hotel for Windemere and Bowness. On a bus route for buses to the lakes. Could have done with a few more coat hangers in the wardrobe and a hook to hang your coat. "
"A lovely 3 day stay with my wife for my 60th birthday. Location excellent, Staff very friendly & cooperative, rooms clean ,tidy & modern. We didn't eat in the restaurant apart from breakfast which was good. The complimentary Bentley was a bonus getting into town. Will definitely go again... "
"The room was clean, modern & spacious. The staff were helpful & friendly. The breakfast was good. The only thing I’d have liked is a bit more water pressure from the shower. Everything else was spot on. "
"Just got back from 3 nights at the Lakeside Hotel. Beautiful hotel and the scenery Lakeside is amazing. So peaceful and so nice to retreat to after a day in places like Bowness.
The staff were so friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. A perfect trip and we will be back."
"This is a lovely hotel in a great location. My room was gorgeous and had the best nights sleep I’ve had in years, as the room is sound proofed. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
Just a few things to be aware of. This hotel is quite expensive to book, and it’s a little cheeky they charge an Additional cost for parking, £25 for the night. It does not have aircon so is quite warm. The food and drink are overpriced. (Recommend going elsewhere) However, it is a lovely hotel and you can’t beat the location "
"Excellent venue with great staff.
Food was excellent both Evening and breakfast!
Grounds immaculate and beautiful views of the lake!
Fantastic experience "
"Very old building, lovingly maintained, with very modern rooms, best of both worlds. All the staff are extremely freindly and professional, the food is exceptional, great stay."
"This was our third visit to the hotel, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The estate is beautiful, with excellent facilities and a convenient location near Lancaster and the university. A truly comfortable and relaxing stay."
"Overall exceeded expectations of what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The restaurant has room for improvement but other than that great place for a quick overnight rest when traveling. "
"We had a nice stay over night. Quiet place all you hear is birds and ducks.
Room we have is spacious with amazing view on the leak.
I would recommend and I would stay here again.
Thank you "
"Only stopped for one night but it was exactly what we were expecting. Pleasant helpful staff who were easy to talk to and helpful. Just like the old days. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you"
