"We live be a characterful hotel and this has plenty. The grounds were fabulous and immaculately maintained. The room we had was tired, curtains worn out, bathroom dated (1980s champagne suite) and shower and tiling poor. The wild flowers growing through the fire exit door made us laugh. Bar and restaurant excellent."

"Stayed here several times now. Staff have always been super friendly and the rooms are good despite being a little dated. The bar is very friendly, food is good and the hotel is conveniently located for the town centre and railway station.
Highly recommended. "

"This was our 2nd visit this year, this time with the kids. Room was very spacious and there was plenty of room for all 4 of us. The room was very clean and the kids loved the sofa bed although for erratic sleepers we had to pillows down so they didn't fall out."
"Maggie said how comfortable the matress is. I should have looked to see what make the matress is. Breakfast was good, bread is fresh, good variety to choose from. Car park needs to be bigger."
