Loved the quaintness & small size mixed with the history & mix of cultures in food etc. for such a small place. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also accessible close by. So we enjoyed Roa. in breaks & hiked on the BRP before leaving. It was all beautiful.

Roanoke is a lovely city with lots to do, excellent dining and shopping options. There's a focus on locally-sourced products, with a couple of good farm to table restaurants, very important to me. It is also very easy to get to, and around.

A surprisingly artsy little city with a strong medical community and educated population. Excellent art museum downtown and beautiful old buildings, including homes, dating back to the railroad expansion era, 1870s and beyond.

I was born in Roanoke, Virginia in 1950 and wow it has certainly grown ! It's a great town and while most of my family is gone now, we still have an uncle and a few cousins that we visit with. I just feel so fortunate that we found this homey retreat

"We stayed here on 7/17 on our trip south. Check in was a breeze , reservations were made in advance. No changes in price , no surprises. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean , plenty of hot water and towels. Breakfast was good and had many choices. Check out was as simple as dropping the room cards off. Can recommend. "
"Great breakfast and rooms were clean and very nice. Only bad was the TV kept freezing up but was probably due to storms in area. Over all great stay."
"Conveniently located, and many dining options within a short drive from the hotel. My only complaint is that the pool was not heated and was VERY cold."
"Conveniently located just off the interstate. The hotel is well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly.
The Mexican restaurant just in front of the hotel (not part of the hotel) was convenient and both the food and the service were great."
