"Our two night stay at The Gate Hotel was a base for us to go to see Florence but enable us to park our rental car safely and conveniently. We had the feeling this hotel is often used by tour groups which came late and left early. We learnt the best way in to Florence was to park our car at the airport 4km away, and costs €1 then hop on the tram into the city centre €1.70. Our stay was comfortable, but breakfast was slightly disappointing, and a bit chaotic after the groups had just left. The...

"Villa Parri is a beautiful well-preserved villa with amazing architecture and lovely surroundings. So friendly and helpful at the front reception. Great suggestions and helped us with the best places to park and see. It is off the beaten path so, with the exception of the amazing restaurant onsite, you have to drive to go anywhere. Of course the trade off is a small piece of serenity and quiet in a stunning villa."
