I had a good stay

I stayed for a weekend and I was mostly outside. The room is simple, perfect for a short stay. Bed was soft & comfortable, I slept like a baby. Breakfast buffet also offered many choices and it starts as early as 5:30 until 10am. I also loved that parking outside is free for those traveling with car. There’s a grocery store, a fast food chain & gas station right outside. Room got cleaned everyday as well. 24hrs reception. What I don’t like is the position of the room I had, it was right beside the motorway. I’m a light sleeper & I could hear cars when they pass by though the walls are thick enough to trap noise & I went back to sleep right away. There’s also no elevators, which I didn’t know before booking so I had to carry a heavy cooler up & down. Room was a little outdated as well especially the bathroom.

We chose the Torp Hotel for its proximity to the Torp airport. We were at the hotel for less than 12 hours since we had an early morning flight. The front desk staff was immensely helpful in ordering a 4:30am taxi for us and packing us breakfast without us even asking! Our quadruple room was clean and perfect for our family of four. The in-house restaurant was disappointing, though. It was overpriced, there was no English menu, and our order was messed up in multiple ways.

Receptionist at the evening was not at her top behaviour. While booking the place I saw the baby cot was free but I was ask to pay 250 nok and was told that the hotel has it own policy. Hotel has Very small room and bathroom, breakfast was really good.

Be careful this property is behind a highway and is very noisy during the night. Almost impossible to sleep. I tried to change the room but the front desk refused with an ironic smile saying that the hotel was full something that was obviously not true for a hotel that is in the middle of nowhere. So, stay here only if is it for the night, you are desperate or destitute.
