Great little place!

The room was lovely, clean with good amenities. Fresh milk was available from the lobby if you wanted. The breakfast was freshly cooked with a good choice on the menu. All the staff we met were really friendly and helpful. Great little place!

Perfect stay with lots of little thoughtful extras

From the moment we arrived staff were lovely. The room was perfect with lots of nice, thoughtful touches. Tea and coffee was in plentiful supply and more was available at reception alongside fresh milk from the fridge in little glass bottles and fruit. The room was clean with plenty toiletries. The breakfast was amazing. All freshly cooked with prime ingredients. Nothing not to like about this place.

Didn’t start well as booking has mysteriously been cancelled but the guy on reception was super helpful and got me sorted. Warm friendly accommodation and would stay again.

Stay here quite often but disappointed this time. Waited 20 mins to check in before a work dinner and no one around so had to take my bags with me and check in later that night.

I stayed on a 4 night business trip to Manchester. Room was functional without being luxurious. Mattress was a bit too firm for me and pillows basic. Breakfast was excellent. Great quality and choice. Overall very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend

Good stay... great location.

Good reception and support... Clean. Nice touch with mini fridge at reception providing flasks of fresh milk together with Back-up tea/coffee etc. Excellent breakfast... Only downside was a dysfunctional shower... rain-shower/hand-shower operation needs maintenance... must have been like it for ages. Annoying detail that was avoidable.

Cleanliness lets down an otherwise good stay

We are concerned that the price we paid through Hotels.com was over £40 more than the rack rate displayed behind the reception counter . By that time it was not able to cancel the booking and rebook. There was a messy part of the garden visible through the window on the main staircase - an uncoiled pile of hosepipe and a badly maintained/ badly tended/ partially dead bush. Our shower had lots of orange mildew staining in the grout in the area near the shower head end of the cubicle- whereas the other end had clean grout. This did not look very hygienic at all.

Excellent place to stay

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is excellent, spotlessly clean, with lovely spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Breakfast met our expectations, offering everything from a full English to vegetarian options, all served with very good and polite service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return. That said, we did encounter a few issues that could be easily addressed to improve the guest experience: Upon arrival, there was no one at reception, just a notice, we went to the pub outside to find someone. Perhaps a buzzer or a way to call the person on duty would make this process more convenient. We weren’t informed that we needed to hang the "PLEASE CLEAN" sign outside for room service.(possibly because the person was very friendly and we were chatting a lot) As a result, no one came to check on the room, which was mainly for bins and fresh towels. The room was freezing cold when we arrived. While the heating worked well once turned on, it took a few hours to warm up. It might be helpful to ensure the heater is turned on prior to a guest's arrival, especially during colder weather. We hope this feedback is helpful, and we’re looking forward to visiting again soon

Fabulous place to stay!

Such a lovely place to stay & feel we’ve stumbled upon a hidden gem that was located in lovely surroundings and very easy to find. Just perfect! The rooms were well kept, contemporary & smelt divine, with all amenities & really nice to have fresh milk too! Also loved that you could replenish things yourself if you needed. Beds super comfy too! We are on both nights & food was of a good standard. The staff, in particular on Saturday evening were so friendly, making the customer service stand out. Good choice of breakfast & speedy service. I would highly recommend a stay if in the area - they really go that extra mile to ensure you have a great experience.
