Great customer service

Diane/diana (I may not have got that right) was excellent in getting us checked in and understood the urgency to get in and out as we had been delayed on the M6. Professional and great customer service

2/10 Poor

Noisy, noisy traffic all night, no sleep

The hotel itself was fine but the location was awful. Right on a road which had non stop traffic day and night. The windows are shocking- they might as well have been open, they did nothing to dim the noise. Don’t go here if you want a night’s sleep.

Perfect for the price

All we needed was accommodation close to Liverpool for the title parade. We spent £61 which in comparison to anywhere else was a bargain. We parked up in the morning and didnt arrive back until late, reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Room clean and tidy with enough facilities. We didnt use but theres also a good space for breakfast and a bar, i would definitely stay again.

So hot!

The heating was jammed on with the radiator at 78°c according to the thermal camera. Thermostatic valve did not work, eventually found out there is another small valve to forcibly shut off the radiator

Loud and noisy

Loud guests who had a dog were shouting and walking up and down the corridor all night. The dog was barking and made a lot of noise.

8/10 Very good

Light and bright on the whole staff nice. Not overly keen on the decor if I'm honest. There needs to a policy for noise.People chattering in the corridors and outside my bedroom window in the early hours. Staff and guests need to recognise some people are trying to sleep if they are in late or departing early
Roy, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Comfortable bed. Double glazing inadequate for rooms on main road. Shame housekeeping felt they needed to knock and interrupt me at 11:30 despite the do not disturb sign on the door and 30 mins to go before check out.

Not great for lone female travellers

This hotel is very basic. The corridor on my way to my room smelt overwhelmingly of dog, it was overpowering. The bathroom in my room had cracked floor tiles and also smelt. The room butted up against the East Lancs road, which is busy throughout the day and night, so all you can hear is traffic when you are trying to rest. Do not go down for breakfast at 7am, its is a free for all with no tables, no order. Dinner, there are signs saying no need to book throughout the hotel, but you have to book and are added to a list of 15 minute time slots. Food was good and staff are nice. I felt uncomfortable my stay though. Not good for lone female travellers.

Rude management

Room lovely! Location ideal Customer service horrible. I had to check out of my room at right time or I’d be charged!! I needed food and ordered it as none available in hotel. The staff clearly saw me eating food and I’d informed them I be sitting in lobby till it was time to go. The manager came over to me advised me I can’t eat food I got outside the hotel I couldn’t eat here. I’m not disputing the policy I wasn’t aware, the attitude was condescending and I felt like a bold child as if she was scolding me. All other staff that I saw over the weekend were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately this has put a dampener on my stay.

Staff Amazing Room Not So

Staff at check-in where wonderful and couldn't assist enough. However, the room key I was given didn't work and was replaced only for this one not to work, 3rd time lucky and that key didn't work either. There was an issue with the battery for the door. The room smelt of paint after being freshly decorated and the shower gel/shampoo containers had not been unlocked.
