Great apartment, great position.

Great place to stay. Really near underground station so easy to get everywhere (although also only a 20 minute walk to the Brandenburg Gate). Great facilities in hotel - able to prepare our own breakfasts and meals (there’s a Lidl nearby). Case storage, drink making facilities and loo’s available on day of departure until 20:00 a brilliant bonus.

Location was fantastic, 2 minutes from the Checkpoint Charlie Ubahn. Room was fairly small but clean, everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Unresolved Issues, Unsafe Practices, and Poor Comm

Numa finally contacted me after my review on Google (which is below) they’ve offered 20% refund which is still pending as they said it would take 10-14 days. Review: “If there is an issue, they will not be able to resolve it timely or respond. (1) AC was out in my mother’s room the entire 5 day stay and it was a very hot weekend. All they offered was 30% refund after days of no status or responding to us. (2) the essentials closet was empty so no towels for a day. They said they would drop some off the next day. (3) they dropped off the towels BUT LEFT OUR ROOM DOOR WIDE OPEN WITH OUR BELONGINGS EXPOSED!! Absolutely unacceptable for any accommodation!! They told me multiple times over WhatsApp that safety was trip priority and someone would contact me in 10-15 minutes… that never happened! I do not recommend Numa Berlin for long term stays or safety reasons.”

Great for a short stay. Very clean ,comfy beds, excellent shower.The whole experience was on line, no actual staff in hotel which made it strangely anonymous.

Totally serviceable but a very sterile atmosphere and pretty isolating. Would be great if they had someone other than a bored security guard on site to greet you, answer questions or assist with check in.

The property has a very nice frontage and the decor inside is simple and provides everything one needs as a launch pad. It's very close to Tempodron music venue and Checkpoint Charlie. The transport around Berlin is fantastic, so everything we wanted to see was accessible. The communication from Numa via Whatsapp was great too. Very helpful and speedy. My one complaint was the breakfast options, but also the quality of the food. This was not what we were expecting, so I'd be wary of booking breakfast again with a Numa hotel as it wasn't worth the money.

Hotel was nice. My bag got stuck in a locker. No front desk so texting for help takes a long time to get answers. Automatically locked out of my room before I even checked out.

Good, reasonably priced stay

I picked this hotel for a short sight seeing break just before Christmas. It is conveniently located near to Checkpoint Charlie and the U-bahn. The stay felt a little strange on arrival compared to many since there is no reception; it is all done via their website, app or WhatsApp, resulting in a pin code supplied before arrival. It all worked just fine for me, no issues getting to my room at all. There is a small lounge area inside the front door, but otherwise it is mostly just the rooms. Mine was one of the ones with a kitchenette - so microwave, fridge, small hob, sink and matching utensils. It is good for a small amount of cooking, but nothing very big. The room was a reasonable size, and bed was comfy. Had everything you might expect. It looked out into a light well in the middle of the building and had a door that could open into this which was good if it got too hot. Not complaints, was a good place to stay.

The worst part was the lack of air conditioning. The weather was very hot during my stay, the small fan in the room was far from enough, but the host explained there was nothing they could do besides offering a second small fan because they did mention AC as an amenity. The shower can let the bathroom soaked because there is no curtain and the glass covers only half of the shower room. There is small kitchen with a oven, but you have to be care with smoke that can reach the fire alarme. Although only stays longer than seven days allow you to book the house keeping, the room was very clean when I checked in. Digital communication with the staff works well.

First time using an accommodation like this without a reception etc so had some reservations but these were unfounded, great messages and communications over text, email and WhatsApp meant we had all the info we needed, not long off the plane in Berlin and we got a message that the room was ready so we could check in early, great bonus, the location and building where wonderful, the family room had two good sized rooms, useful wee kitchen and good sized fridge. The code you are sent is used on a couple of entrance doors so the place feels secure. Good laundry on site as well, and we needed some extra towels and an iron and a quick WhatsApp told us where we could get these downstairs. Brilliant

I stayed here for 2 weeks in a studio style room and absolutely loved it! I have stayed in many similar types of hotels around Europe because I work remotely and travel as a digital nomad, and this has been my favourite so far! It was so clean, modern, fresh feeling, and in a super convenient location. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller in this hotel, and it was astoundingly quiet. The bed was so comfortable, I looked up the mattress brand for future reference. My friend stayed with me the first week and we spent a lot time in the room because we loved it so much and felt at home. There is a great Lidl a couple of minutes walk away, bakeries, coffee shops (a Starbucks just up the road if you really must!) & pharmacies close by, plus The Mall of Berlin is ten minutes walk away. There are multiple public transportation options very nearby too. I was surprised that it had an actual stove top, not just a microwave, a Nespresso machine, a fridge with a little freezer, good aircon, and a wonderful heated towel rail. I will always stay in a Numa property in the future where possible!

persistant loud, screeching metal against metal noise coming from elevator that could be heard every few minutes. Couldn’t sleep. Couldn’t work during the day. Alerted hotel to problem. They didn’t get it fixed or even looked at, couldn’t move me to another room, wouldn’t put it out of service even though there were 2 other elevators to service building. Horrible experience. Never booking with Numa again.

Rent og pænt værelse. Morgenmaden var sølle - ikke noget vi vil bestille igen . Svært at finde information om parkering i kælderen . De få mennesker der arbejdede på hotellet ( rengøring på gangene mm ) var uhøflige og sure . Nok fordi det var eksterne medarbejdere , men et nik og en hilsen burde de kunne overkomme . Første gang vi prøver et " ubemandet " hotel , men det fik som sådan ok .

The worst experience that i have had. No AC and was told daily they would fix it. They never did. Shower leaks water out of the small confined area. Asked for clean towels and didn’t receive until after 24 hours. No towels in the essential closet. There was not enough room for two people to have luggage and move around in the room at the same time. The TV would not let us stream even though they said it would. Only one chair at the desk to sit in and it was at the foot of the bed upstairs. I have no idea why they gave us this room as we ordered a medium room and was billed for a medium room. We are expecting a 30% refund but have yet to receive it. I will be taking this further to the management to get a full refund for all of the inconveniences and accommodations that lacked.

Had to crawl in the bed from the foot of the bed for 2 people.

Good room - communication could be better

Good stay and the room it self was great. It is self service and you let yourself in with a PIN code. Arrived in Germany before receiving PIN code would have been happier with having the PIN code in advance. Missing BBC World on TV - only 6 German channels available. No security latch on door. Friendly cleaners.
