Hotel was fine, good location and good amenities. The rooms are basic and aircon was horrible and had no optional control, it rumbled away all night when there was no need for it to be on.

The checkin was very smooth and person was quite helpful. We liked how easy it was to get to bus and trains as bus stop was right across street from hotel. The room was a nice size and good for our purposes. The shower setup was not the best as just have glass that covers half of bathtub area so always have water all over floor which need to dry so do not slip. Second tried calling twice for room service since restaurant closed Sundays and eventually after 2 calls over 10 minutes went to reception since no answer which I know happens. Ordered but price was different on placard in our room than what I was charged. When showed reception card they said the price changed a while ago. This did not feel right but paid extra cost. Food came and spaghetti noodles instead of taglatielle which was on menu so was a bit disappointed. However, breakfast buffet made up for the room service as many options and liked a lot. Plus location worked well for us since used trains and busses. Would not recommend Uber as quite expensive if going to Oslo. Overall it was convenient and worked for our purposes.

Quieter stay and still minutes from Oslo Center

Thoroughly enjoyed my very first stay at Thon Hotel Oslofjord. Very easy transfer via local train from the airport to Sandvika Station, then very short 270 Bus hop to the hotel. Enjoyed the fair price, the generous and high quality buffet, the friendly staff, the spacious room, the dry heat sauna, the walk in back of the property, the shopping nearby. Will return next time I want to avoid Oslo Center. Thank you!

Amazing stay at this incredible location of the Thon Hotel. We are currently visiting Norway for the first time from North America and immediately the service provided by the staff at the Oslofjord goes above and beyond an amazing experience. Louis, the concierge at the front desk, has been an amazing ambassador of the Thon Hotel brand. He welcomed us with a great smile and friendly disposition, and immediately placed himself at our service. He provided us with valuable information about transportation, the city, things to do in Oslo, Sandvika, and talked to us about other great cities to experience around all Norway. He has been a well of knowledge. The hotel itself is easy to access. It is only minutes away from the Sandvika Train station by Uber. It is also quite comfortable and clean. With a contemporary design the building stands out close to the Oslo waters. Once inside, the lobby is spacious, bright, and beautifully decorated with a magnificent marble sculpture. There's also a restaurant where the early morning breakfast is served, and what a breakfast. It consists of a magnificent buffet including smoked salmon, smoothies, omelets, bacon, sausage, and eggs in various other forms, fresh fruits, pancakes with different delicious jams, and so much more, all cooked in front of you my a magnificent team of chefs. The wait staff is also great. They keep the restaurant and the tables impeccably clean, and keep the coffee flowing. Their service was impeccable.

Hade rum mot stora vägen vilket gör att du konstant har ljud runt dig. Tyg på stolar etc i rummet lite fläckiga och känns ofräscht. Helt ok standard med saknar det som ger fräschet. Stor fin frukost och trevlig personal.
