Super super clean couldn’t have asked for more. Plenty of toiletries for all needs, spacious rooms super unique experience!

Really unique vibe and a good price if youre not doing a long stay. The shared living space will be a turn off for some, as will the size of the rooms. Staff was very easy to contact when needed, despite not being on site. I can imagine this place being an amazing stay with the right group of people renting out a number of rooms, but as a lone traveler, it wasnt quite what I was looking for. Still, not a bad spot.

Hotel was good but location was alright. Parking at the hospital(which was recommended by hotel) was expensive ($15 for anything above 3 hours)

This place was AMAZING!

Upon walking in I had NO CLUE what was awaiting me inside!!! It was the most unique room I've ever booked. There wasn't enough time to see all the details. I wish I lived there!! The only weird part is being so quiet after 10pm. But it was understandable!

I stayed in the Tower room and it was amazing! Has a bathtub in the room, so it was perfect for a self pamper night. Really like the vintage vibe and the spiral staircase. All the rooms are different so I'd love to keep going back and try different rooms!

A unique experience very hip

This is a self-serve book yourself in property and a part of LA that if you're not familiar with could seem intimidating the property is very unique and loved the layout I was happy that we stayed but now that I've experienced this Boutique Hotel I'm fine with experiencing new hotels in the area

No breakfast b&b

Was great overall. Rooms got hot in morning so hard sleeping in. Was better sleeping with windows open but you had more street noise I got bitten 2 of 3 nights. Hopefully not bed bugs - hard to tell with black sheets. Otherwise I liked it and will use again

8/10 Very good

This hotel is just like a step back in time and the prohibition/speakeasy vibe is on point. It would be nice if the walls where a little thicker so I didn't hear so much of the other guests conversations and coughs, but the price was just right for all that.

A Romantic, Cozy Space

The whole tower was basically a whole private apartment. It was cozy and bigger than expected with three stories. Love the extra touch of the toiletries available for use. I absolutely loved the bathtub, though I wish the jacuzzi feature would have worked, but it seems that was broken. Overall though, perfect for a romantic stay.

2/10 Poor

This property is on three levels which are connected by two narrow spiral staircases. Furnishings are old and moldy

Just wish they provided tissue boxes and fans that weren't super loud.

Best Hostel in LA

This was the best hostel I’ve stayed at. Amazing decor and easy check in. I was surprised I got my own room. Most hostels don’t give you that. I really like this place

Perfect for a solo traveler

The Rosemary is a fabulous little boutique hostel in a nice part of Silverlake. It was perfect for my long weekend stay in LA. The room was quiet and cozy. The bathrooms are super nice and the showers have good water pressure. There's a small fridge, a water dispenser and a Keurig for making coffee in the morning in the shared space. The neighbors around are incredibly helpful and helped me find parking around the building. Would definitely stay here again!

Self check-in, quirky vibe, unique

The check in was self-checkin which was a first for me. I would have liked a bigger seating area. The rooms had very high ceilings which was great, perhaps could turn the rooms into mezzanine floored rooms which would add more character and floor space.

Unforgettable

Super impressed by the small getaway my boyfriend booked here. Such an exotic little place to stay, the art there was fascinating and brought the small place to life! Definitely a spooky vibe. Not to mention a delicious taco stand on the street just walking distance from there. I also forgot my raízor and they so happened to have saved my day, how cool is that? Definitely will come back.

Great deal for the money

Overall, it’s a great deal for the money. The down sides are the rooms are super small, and the parking is far, or you have to be really lucky to get a nearby space. The up sides are the decor, the fair price, the location, and internet. Also, personally, I don’t care for hotels with no staff, but I see that’s becoming more common.
Alison, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Shared bathroom (not disclosed) and dark and dirty

Not stated in the description of the room I selected is a shared bathroom. A very important piece of information they leave out. There is no staff on property and you access the room via a lock box on the street, where I was approached by a homeless person. The sheets and towels are black which masks how dirty it could be. I sat on the bed for 5 minutes while contemplating the room, which was as hard as a rock, and I left without staying. No one on site to complain to and my messages went unanswered to the hotel.
Romeo, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

What I liked: The property had a beautiful old Hollywood style once inside. It was well kept and clean. There was free Hight quality coffee capsuels. What I didn't like: The surrounding area felt unsafe with lots of homeless people. There is no staffing at the hotel which caused a couple of issues. Our food was stolen from the freezer on our first night and the owner couldn't work out who took it via CCTV. A group of about 5 dodgy looking people were up making noise (appearing to be using drugs) until after midnight - the walls are paper thin. Conclusion: The hotel was very nice but would definitely benefit from 24/4 reception.
