It was a perfect location. The beds were nice the breakfast was light and good price. The pool photos look different but the pool was always empty so it was a nice place to relax.

Calixta is a nice boutique hotel. Quiet, great location. The room was nice. Easy check-in. It is about 15 minutes from the ADO bus station. It is 5 minutes to Quinta Avenida which is the main tourist attraction.

We spent a great weekend in this hotel, very clean and quiet. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee with milk for breakfast, it was very watery, you didn't feel the caffeine.

Brilliant for the price

One of the nicest rooms I have stayed in. Peaceful, spacious, loads of storage, great shower and sink facilities, huge bed and lovely lighting. You have to ask to have your room cleaned otherwise you won’t get new towels etc… The rooftop pool is a gem, love the decor and relaxing music. The staff were amazingly helpful. A couple of times the link to the door opening app didn’t work but that was fixed in minutes each time. The continental breakfast is pretty basic but again, staff are great. The WiFi was reliable and fast enough. And finally, the location is perfect. Just away from fifth Avenue, near the ADO station and very close to everything you need in Playa. Thank you Calixta!

Loved the rooftop pool area. Complimentary breakfast was very good! Very nice staff. Super convenient to all Playa has to offer! Parking was not easy - the nearby garage only wanted pesos- they did not take a credit card. One evening when we came back from a day trip they were full. We had to wait for someone to leave. Also, we would have liked a small refrigerator in our room. All in all we liked it enough that we would stay here again.

Staff was really nice and helpful=Receptionist Meyli Rivas and from the restaurant =Waiter Jose Luis were just amazing! Meyli always took care of what wasn’t put in our room by the cleaning staff. Waiter was super polite and was always one step ahead of what we needed! The chefs made breakfast supper delicious and well presentable! The only thing I didn’t like about my stay was, that I had booked my room for three of us and the few times they did clean the room they would only leave two towels, and they did not supply sufficient toilet paper. But other than that everything was fine!👍

Overall nice stay. Great for money and one block off the Main Street. Small deficits in structure. Paint peeling in corners, etc. mold smell. Biggest concern was water & coffee. There was not an opportunity to refill water or grab coffee in the middle of the day. They advised going to the 7/11 or cafe Antoinette (literally next to) for those needs. By doing so it is not at all “green” nor pocket friendly.
