Great Place

We stayed here after a Hurtigruten cruise. We walked to the hotel from the terminal even though it was a bit of a hike. We also walked to the train station after we checked out. It was very convenient to both. The hotel itself is beautiful. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing!

Overall a good property and good location. Bookings made via third party channels such as Hotels.com seem to get the most undesirable rooms; in this case the back of the property has a club/bar below it which blasts music until late into the night making sleep a bit of a challenge. Breakfast is a great spread but packed as this property serves the cruise crowd. Word of warning, the pool has age restrictions after 10:00 AM and there is a $25/person cost for adults.

Hotel is seriously understaffed although staff lovely. Always a wait at reception and the spa was unattended at times as one lady tries to do everything. First nights sleep awful as on noisy side of hotel. Room so tiny there wasn’t enough floor space to open suitcase. Second room quieter and slightly bigger. Booked the spa expecting there to be treatments available. It’s just a pool, sauna and steam. Not really worth the money altho breakfast (paid extra) was excellent.

Outstanding Hotel with an Amazing Breakfast

Our deluxe room was super comfortable. The hotel is centrally located near the museums and a short walk to the shopping area and waterfront. The hotel serves an amazing breakfast. We had a fantastic stay and I highly recommend the hotel.

Nice and stylish hotel. Amazing breakfast. Beware there is a nightclub in the building with thumping music until 2.30 am on weekends. Rooms on third and fourth floors may be affected. Be sure to mention this at check in if you are alight sleeper like me (I was in 425)

Hotel Norge

Hotel Norge was recommended by several bloggers. The location was ideal. In a quieter part of city Centre with plenty of shops restaurants parks, museums, public spaces. Probably the nicest hotel we saw during our week long stay in Bergen. The service at reception was helpful with directions and managing the incoming traffic. Our room was supposed to have a Mountain View -instead we got a window that looked onto an office building window extremely close to our building. So no view -even difficult to tell if it was light outside. Given the prices this was extremely disappointing. The bar service was slow with just a couple of staff working but the drinks & food were good. We had a fire alarm go off at 4:30 am the morning we were leaving. Although untimely they did seem to get everyone out & back -however there never was any explanation or real direction outside. There is no “spa” but there is an indoor pool. They did recommend another place for a massage & it was great. City Centre was very walkable & we appreciated coming back to Hotel Norge at the end of a day of being out & about.

Good hotel in the middle of the city.

Seems to be newly renovated. Feels clean/fresh. I see there are many new hotels in the city, it's just become a habit for us to stay here the few times we visit Bergen.

Great hotel with perfect, central location for walking the city. The reception, in particular Elida was extremely helpful, efficient and professional. The cleaning staff was at another level too. I was impressed with every interaction from the start to finish of our stay at this hotel. Highly recommend it!!

The hotel was in the heart of the tourist zone. Many restaurants and shops within 5 min walk. It is a large and busy hotel. I generally prefer to stay in smaller hotels but I was not disappointed. The upgraded room was quite small but this is the norm. The bed was comfortable and the room was soundproof. If ever back in Bergen, I would likely chose to stay here again.
