Only issue I had while staying here was the room air conditioning was not good enough by a long straw …the temperature on the lowest setting was highly inadequate and the power of the fans was also inadequate…for example the public areas were far cooler than our room !!

Fab hotel in a well connected area just off the KuDam for shopping. Great restaurants pizza- Sale und Pepe Burgers - original Burger. One tiny fault all weekend the shower in the hotel just wasn’t quite warm enough - I guess they had the temp turned down for environmental reasons but just too much.

About 3 mins walk to Europa centre, about 12 mins walk to KaDeWe department store and various restaurants. Staff are prompt and professional. Below average breakfast; poor choice of menu, subpar quality breads and lack of potatoes and sausages. It should be a crime to charge 25 EUR per person for that. Do not drink water prepared in rooms unless you are member of hotel chain or they'll charge you 4.5 EUR for each bottle.

This hotel was nothing but amazing... from the beautiful lobby/rooms to the incredible staff, I cannot say enough good things. Every single person we came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and accomdating. Specifically the manager Tarak (not sure if that is spelled correctly) . He takes great pride in this hotel and it shows. He went out of his way on mulitple occassions to help our family. This hotel is also located pretty central making it easy to get around Berlin. HIGHLY recommend, we will be staying here again when we come back! Thank you for the incredible customer service!

Best Hotel Experience of The Trip

We were blown away by the service at the hotel. There was a staff issue during our stay but they rectified it right away. We truly appreciated their hospitality. Thank you again to Mr. Deichmann for your remarkable service! The hotel itself is new, clean, modern and beautiful. It is located in a great location. The buffet breakfast was delicious. Cigarette smell in the room

The room was smelled like cigarette smoke and I tried to reach out the reception by phone but neither reception nor housekeeping did not answer my call. Afterwards I gave up and unpacked my stuff. But I mentioned this issue when I went out. With rolling eyes we can change your room, they said. I was there for only two days and did not want to spend time with packing and unpacking. I asked them if housekeeping could put an air cleaner and air freshener in the room, as 5 star hotels could take an action in such cases. They told me that they will sort it out. But no. Nothing changed. Again they offered me to change my room, but I refused as I said my time was limited. The other day I told them the housekeeping didn’t come by to my room for daily cleaning. They told me, the housekeeping only comes when I request it. 5 star hotel, I am amazed. Both reception and restaurant personnel were rude and they were not willing to help. This was my second stay at this hotel and surely the last one!
Nihan, 2-night trip

We chose the Doubletree because it was the former Steigenberger Hotel. The hotel has lost the personal touch. We had a room on the 5th floor and heard every person walking, talking, and celebrating on the street below (window closed) until the early morning hours (2/3 am). The breakfast buffet was incredible and the restaurant service was fine. The vallet was also very helpful. The rest of the staff was very cold and impersonal. We had daily cleaning but they never gave us new tea cups or glasses and only refreshed the tea once during our 4 night stay! A bottle of water which usually comes with the room costs 9€. The mini bar was completely empty and if you wanted anything in it you had to walk all the way to the reception area and fill it yourself. Our room happened to be a very long walk from the reception area with only one elevator down in the center of the hotel. The location isn't bad, but there are hotels located more centrally and closer to the Kudamm. For us, we will not be staying at the Doubletree again. Service was inadequate, housekeeping was inadequate and location was not exceptional.
