Perfect rest stop after long travel

We traveled to Naples to rest after a long journey before heading to the Amalfi coast. The hotel was quant and charming. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. It was hot in Naples, so the AC was essential! Great location to many waterfront restaurants.

This is a first class hotel where we had previously stayed. Great location, good breakfast, scrupulously clean, good welcoming staff. Comfortable well planned rooms. But why oh why are in room tea and coffee taken in paper cups. Not good enough. A small niggle but a sign of penny pinching? Standards perhaps had slipped since previous pre covid visit.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at the Grand Hotel Saint Lucia. Our room on the front was excellent and we could not have wished for better. The bed was super comfy with additional pillows provided if required. Our only negative experience was we asked the hotel to arrange a taxi for us through reception and were advised it would be 30 Euro fare to the airport. On arrival the driver demanded 50 euro and said he told hotel porter to relay this to us, which didn't happen. As you can imagine not impressed. We would definitely return to this hotel and request the same room but would make our own arrangements for transfers and would highly recommend others do likewise (it is for this reason alone that I have scored 4 and not 5, everything else was perfect!)
