As a solo traveler, the room had enough room for one. Good thing I was one. My stay was wonderful. The staff were always so polite and helpful; a real joy. Breakfast was healthy, plentiful, and delicious. I always felt safe, everything was clean, and my room was quiet if I closed the window. (There was a slight industrial noise outside all night, but a closed window took care of it.) Never before have I given a hotel high stars for eco-friendly, but this one deserved it. Well done!

Everything you could want in a downtown Bergen hotel. Close to the train station and harbor. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast. Only concern was room door locks… unique to Norway.. should be instructions in room on how to use… need to scan your card against lock when leaving… came back one day to fund my door wide open… Convenient location… would stay here again.

This hotel is very conveniently located just 10 minutes walk from bus station and 10 minutes walk to the city centre and ferry terminal. The room was a bit small, but it is common for hotels in Norway. My room was facing a street with traffic, but it was not bad with closed windows. The breakfast selection was excellent.

Wonderful hotel. Convenient to many sites. Staff was so helpful; provided local information ie shopping, nearby sites. Room was comfortable. Relaxed & cozy. Breakfast was a feast! Would definitely stay here again. Enhanced our Bergen experience.

Half great, half awful We were in a “queen size” bed room, but the bed was pushed up flush against the wall in the corner. The room was so small we were unable to lay our two carry on bags open on the floor. But, the breakfast (we paid extra) was fabulous and worth every penny. Obviously, a great location, but just an awful room.

Staff was very accommodating and provided two more pillow and a sheet. Room was too hot and we had no way to cool it. Sleeping with a quilt on was too hot but just a sheet was perfect. The location was ideal being near the harbor and many tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet had everything we could want. Thank you!

Property was clean. Breakfast had good variety. A lot of hotels in Norway don't have AC. There was a heat wave when we were there but unfortunately, the hotel ran out of fans so the temperature in the room at night was barely survivable. We were at the back of the hotel and our room was overlooking a courtyard of an adjacent apartment building housing students. The students were very noisy during the weekend.

the worst room i have even had during my years of travelling around the world, my view was looking into a dirty painted outside wall 3 metres from the window the sky was only visible buy looking up , resulting in no view which made the room dark. Maybe acceptable for a night but I was staying for 7 nights. Great breakfast and friendly staff

Terrible

Unfortunately my son booked this hotel where he got a bad experience. He arrived at 10PM after a long trip from Oslo so he could not remember the room number. The lady who was charge of checking in yelled at him. Then later she accused him of running away. I did not like they took advanced of him because he is a younger man and he was alone. If I could ask for a refund I would love it. Please avoid this hotel if you are traveling alone. I was worry of my son’s safety after she accused of running away. Running away from what?

Great family hotel

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of a week skiing in Norway. The hotel had a great location in the city in easy reach of the light rail, train and bus routes. The family room was a great layout and very comfortable and clean. Staff were extremely helpful and their spoken English was great. The cleaners always spoke when we passed them in the corridor which was lovely. Breakfast was amazing - the best we have had in a city hotel in a long time. The restaurant atmosphere was calm and relaxed and we felt that the children were very much welcome in the hotel. There was a huge choice of cold and hot food as well as a good choice for vegan and gluten free diets. We made use of the 'to go' coffee cups at the end of breakfast to take out into the city before we left. Highly recommend, great value for money and would stay here again if we were to stop over night in Bergen in the future.

Hyggelig betjening og meget god frokostbuffet. Rommet var spartansk og vendte inn mot bakgården. Fliser på badet var sprukket og vannet rant meget langsomt ned i vaken. Har overnattet 2gg tidligere på dette hotellet. Liker det, men vil nok ha et bedre rom med utsikt ut til byen neste gang!
