Any trip to Vegas already comes with a serious side order of excitement. And when you’re traveling to a place where everything is geared up for partying properly, indulging the senses and escaping the 9–5, you’d better make sure you’ve got a hotel that’s living just as large as you are. In this case, Wynn Las Vegas.
Located at the north end of the Strip (close to the eye-popping, immersive Sphere arena), the 45-story Wynn Las Vegas looms extremely large, its copper-tinted, curved exterior giving the impression of a giant ship cutting through the surrounding trees. On entering, expect a riot of color: From the floral motifs woven into the carpets to the gold and marble surfaces, vast artistic flower displays and revolving installations, this is a hotel that immediately makes you feel like you’ve stepped over into wonderland.
Rather than a stereotypically hedonistic Vegas hangout, this is a place for getting pampered while you play—and, in its own words, finding “world-class entertainment, dining and gaming, with serene spaces for relaxation and indulgence.” Wynn Plaza Shops is the destination for guests in need of some high-end retail therapy, with stores from Celine to Saint Laurent.

The pool is fringed with lush green topiary and peppermint-colored awnings, with the hotel’s motto of “sip, sun, socialize” lived up to from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Bag a striped chaise longue or reserve a daybed or cabana (the latter offering a large-screen TV, complimentary soft drinks, fruit and snacks, while the pool area also has a specialty drinks menu with cocktails and zero-proof options from the resort’s mixologist).
For something more substantial, there are 20 restaurants within the hotel, with Delilah (a ’50s-inspired supper club), Wing Lei (Chinese fine dining) and Casa Playa (modern Mexican) among the standout establishments. Also check out Tableau for your morning fuel, an American bistro-style restaurant with poolside seating under candy-stripe parasols; and Jardin for a leisurely brunch in an Insta-ready room with disco-ball pillars and technicolor flower mosaics on the floor. The signature Bloody Mary comes highly recommended.

Every point of the resort overdelivers in this way: The brightly ornate casino bucks the stereotype of musty red velvet and gloomy lighting; the in-hotel theater outmuscles most stand-alone venues in both talent and technical spec; spa treatments and fitness sessions counterbalance the expected glamor; and the offbeat cultural programming covers everything from dog training to sushi making. And if all that still doesn’t grab you, there’s also an 18-hole golf course.
While this all amounts to a high-octane experience, Wynn Las Vegas is also a place to rest and recover. The team recommends the Wynn Tower Suite Parlor for a first-time visitor, with floor-to-ceiling windows, 1,280 square feet of living space, a dedicated check-in area and separate pool access. “It’s an ideal way to experience the refinement and thoughtful amenities that Wynn Las Vegas is known for.”
With poolside partying, remarkable restaurants, restorative rooms and Insta-worthy sights at every turn, this might just be the Vegas hotel which can deliver it all—whatever kind of trip you’re after.
