Location and Luxury
The staff was awesome and we got a free upgrade without knowing it. The staffing hours are different then you would expect from a hotel but it works out and we didn't be have any issues. There are a few different municipal parking structures near by and you can't beat the public transport job throughout the city. We would definitely stay there again!

Really great boutique hotel in the hipster area of Toronto. Loved our stay!

Two nights in Toronto
Ocho is a smaller version of the new minimalist design hotels. It has 12 rooms in a converted textile factory on the gentrifying edge of Chinatown. The ground floor is a bar-restaurant-hang-out space with a small check-in desk just under the stairs; one floor up is a meeting space with bar (unused during my stay). No room service or mini-bar, but a comfortable, well-thought-out room with good bedding, a big window, a small desk, and a bright, roomy bathroom (shower only) with decent toiletries. Clothing storage was a coat rack and small bench. I didn't try the continental breakfast (there's a great expresso bar nearby) but had a couple of meals from the short but appealing menu. Food was ok though execution could have been better--oddly, it wasn't possible to charge meals or drinks to my room. A minus was the delayed room service. And I had trouble turning on the shower, requiring a call for someone to come in and help--awkward! (also, shower shelf needs to be replaced). Overall, charming staff and the clean, modern facility at a reasonable price make this a keeper.

Overall a very pleasant stay.
Overall a fantastic hotel and would happily stay there again. Excellent location at a reasonable price considering the central location. Nice bar also.
