    Desert Tides
    We chose the Tides because of the ability it afforded for our family to gather together at one location for sharing and having a central point of going off on our own to explore the surrounding fun spots. It was perfect. The facility is beautifully decorated and all the comforts of home are provided. There is a fully stocked kitchen area with dishwasher, microwave - pots, pans, dishes and all that is needed to use it right away (dish detergents, towels, garbage bags etc.). Only caveat I'd add is that you cannot walk to the strip - it is positioned north of the interstate 15 and is not pedistrian friendly. You can walk to Rio (needing to cross E. Flamingo) and take a shuttle to the strip. All Strip hotels have free parking. Enjoy!!!!!!!!...More

    The Long Bay Resort
    next time I will ask for a ocean front instead of an ocean view. our view was of the hotel next door, you could see the ocean if you looked over the railing and strained. I will also make sure I'm not in the same area (room 139) we were right next to the going out of the parking garage and the parking lot for the hotel next to us. it was very noisy at night. the rooms could of been alittle cleaner and some updates would improve the room. the rooms could also be alittle more child proof. our toddler kept hitting her head on one of the tables as it was just the right height. the things we did like was that we were right on the ocean, there were 10 pooles including 2 kids ones, there was a resturant on site, a starbucks, a gift shop, excrise room, game room (needs updating)a cafe/bar. the price was right and if you are a golfer they offer golfing packages. overall we had a good time and really weren't in the hotel all that much....More
